This keyboard is the same as a standard piano. I play this exactly like the piano. I bought this item five years ago for my home in Florida, and it is wonderful. I recently bought another one for my granddaughters. They have it in the same room as their piano, and are using the keyboard more than the piano. They especially like the headphone option for practice times when their brothers are napping!
